JOB OBJECTIVE:

The DevOps Engineer III is responsible for ensuring the stability, scalability, and efficiency of application environments, with a focus on system reliability, automation, and seamless deployment pipelines. This critical role will focus on the administration, stability and efficiency of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) CRM and our financial transaction processing. The engineer will proactively monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, support CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with teams across IT, Development, and Operations to enhance system performance and enable effective service delivery. Responsibilities include supporting legacy applications as well as driving the transition to cloud-based infrastructure and modern DevOps practices.

DUTIES AND TASKS:
  • Provide operational support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including monitoring integrations, troubleshooting errors, and collaborating with D365 developers on enhancements, bugs and testing.
  • Assist with deployment and release management for D365 customizations and solutions, ensuring alignment with DevOps best practices.
  • Support data integrity and reconciliation efforts between D365 and external systems.
  • Participate in D365-related standups, planning meetings, code reviews, and testing cycles.
  • Monitor daily system operations and data pipelines, identifying and resolving failed processes or performance bottlenecks.
  • Investigate and resolve application and infrastructure issues, including connectivity failures, performance degradation, and deployment errors.
  • Perform environment health checks, vulnerability remediation, and cost optimization tasks.
  • Support automated job scheduling, cloud services, and API integrations.
  • Ensure accurate and secure processing of data transactions across environments.
  • Conduct system log analysis, troubleshoot anomalies, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to address system errors, job failures, or inconsistencies in application behavior.
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Assist in the migration of legacy systems to cloud-native platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
  • Identify and document inefficiencies in systems or workflows; recommend and implement improvements through developing new and improved automations.
  • Participate in sprint planning, system upgrade planning, and other DevOps-related meetings.
  • Work with QA, product owners, and developers on deployment testing, configuration management, and post-release monitoring.
  • Perform system reconciliations and validations between different environments (e.g., database and application layers).
  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot infrastructure automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Ensure configuration, monitoring, and alerting tools are effectively used and maintained.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform.
  • Proven experience in DevOps, system administration, or infrastructure support roles.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud platform.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, React, SQL, and optionally Python or T-SQL.
  • Experience with SQL and troubleshooting data flow/integration issues.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and meet tight deadlines.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Five years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
  • 1+ years as a CRM Administrator
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Background in enterprise-scale system migrations or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Database Administration.
  • Familiarity with security practices in DevOps environments.
  • Experience developing or supporting applications in large organizations, especially those using D365 CRM.
