Job Description
Role: Business Analyst
Location: Erie, PA(Onsite)
Key Responsibilities
Business & Functional Analysis
Gather, analyse, and document business requirements (BRD/FSD/Use Cases/User Stories).
Evaluate current life insurance processes and recommend improvements.
Translate business needs into functional specifications for development teams.
Insurance Domain Expertise
Work across the Life Insurance policy lifecycle:
New Business & Onboarding
Underwriting
Policy Issuance & Servicing
Premium Billing & Collections
Claims Processing
Persistency & Renewal
Understand various life insurance products—Term, ULIP, Endowment, Annuity, Riders, etc.
Project Collaboration
Work closely with Product Owners, Actuarial, Underwriting, Operations, and IT teams.
Support development, testing, and UAT phases by clarifying requirements.
Prepare workflow diagrams, wireframes, process maps, and product documents.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Prepare test scenarios and support SIT/UAT.
Validate system functionalities against requirements.
Stakeholder Management
Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and user training.
Provide periodic project updates and documentation.
📚 Required Skills & Qualifications
Must‑Have
Bachelor’s degree (Engineering/MBA or related field preferred).
3–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Life Insurance domain.
Strong understanding of Life Insurance systems, regulations, and workflows.
Experience with BRD, FSD, User Stories, Process Flow design.
Knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel.
Good-to-Have
Experience with core Life Insurance systems (e.g., Ingenium, Lodestar, Oracle Insurance, Life Asia, Policy Admin Systems).
Knowledge of digital journeys, APIs, and integration flows.
Data analysis and SQL exposure.
Agile/Scrum certifications.
