Software Developer

Description
We are looking for a Software Developer to join a construction-focused organization in Appleton, Wisconsin on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent role. This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys building practical, business-facing applications and partnering closely with internal stakeholders to deliver dependable software solutions. The position calls for strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem, along with the ability to contribute within an enterprise environment and support web-based application development.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain business applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET technologies. Partner with internal users and cross-functional teams to gather needs, translate requirements, and deliver effective software solutions. Develop and enhance web-based features with JavaScript and related front-end technologies to improve usability and performance. Write, optimize, and support SQL queries and database interactions that underpin core application functionality. Contribute to application updates, issue resolution, and ongoing enhancements across enterprise-level systems.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical documentation to promote quality, stability, and maintainability. Support work tied to broader application initiatives, including projects that may involve mobile or modern UI technologies such as Blazor or Flutter. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and implement timely, reliable fixes. Requirements
5+ years of software development experience, with a background that demonstrates increasing technical responsibility. Strong hands-on expertise with C# and the .NET Framework in a software development setting.

Experience building or supporting applications with ASP.NET and JavaScript. Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to develop against relational databases. Exposure to enterprise-level application environments and structured development practices. Ability to communicate effectively with internal business users and translate operational needs into technical solutions. Experience with Blazor is a plus. Familiarity with Flutter or other mobile development technologies is helpful. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.
