Quick overview
Job description
Who We Are
Tatcha is a skincare brand rooted in timeless Japanese wisdom, offering transformative yet kind-to-skin formulas that marry Japanese botanicals with clinical ingredients. Our formulation philosophy is informed by the Japanese concept hinou dokon, which means “skin-mind same root”—an acknowledgement of the powerful connection between the skin and the brain. Guided by the mission to care for people through their skin, Tatcha takes a holistic approach to skincare from concept to formulation to clinical evaluation, offering skincare rituals that benefit both skin and mind, while emphasizing the importance of mindfulness to skin health.
About the role
Location: San Francisco · Duration: 3 months · Hours/week: 40 · Start date: ASAP
Tatcha’s Supply Chain Planning team is looking for a temporary analyst who is at home in the data. You’ll own the data maintenance, transactional updates, and reporting in NetSuite that keep our planning data clean and current, so the team can focus on demand and supply planning, inventory strategy, and launch execution.
This assignment suits someone who sees a messy data set as a puzzle to solve. You’ll learn our systems quickly, work through problems on your own, and know which questions to ask to get to the right answer. You care about accuracy and won’t load a file you haven’t checked.
What you’ll do
NetSuite mass updates
- Run bulk record updates in NetSuite using mass updates and CSV imports, such as planning parameters, item fields, and vendor fields
- Prepare and validate update files before loading, then confirm the results afterward
- Keep a clear change log of what was updated, when, and why
Gratis
- Support approval of gratis items in NetSuite, including samples, gift with purchase, and other free of charge goods
- Track gratis inventory and requirements against planned programs, and flag shortfalls or excess
Kitting
- Support kit and set planning, including BOM accuracy checks for kit components
- Track kitting timelines and component availability against need dates, and raise risks to the planning team
Tatcha.com (T.com)
- Support T.com item and inventory data, such as availability and channel allocations
- Reconcile T.com inventory and order data with NetSuite records, and dig into discrepancies until you find the cause
Reporting
- Run, refresh, and maintain recurring reports and saved searches
- Turn ad hoc data requests into clear, ready to use answers for the planning team
Historical master data clean up
- Find and fix outdated, duplicate, or inconsistent records, such as inactive items, obsolete BOMs, and stale vendor or planning fields
- Document what you find and the recurring root causes, so we can stop the same issues from coming back
How you work
- Data doesn’t intimidate you. Large, imperfect data sets are where you do your best work.
- You solve problems on your own. When something doesn’t tie out, you investigate within the system before escalating, and you come to the team with findings rather than just questions.
- You ask the right questions. You know when to pause, what to clarify, and who to ask so the end result is right the first time.
- You validate everything. You check before and after every change, without being reminded.
What we’re looking for
- 4+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory, or operations data roles
- Hands on NetSuite experience, including saved searches, mass updates, and CSV imports
- Strong Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables
- Comfortable working with BOMs, item records, and inventory transactions
- Highly organized, with a strong track record of accuracy
- Clear communicator who flags issues early and keeps stakeholders informed
Nice to have
-
- Beauty, skincare, or CPG experience
- Familiarity with kits and sets, gift with purchase programs, or DTC ecommerce operations
