Press Assistant 2- Material Handling - Press Service

Essential Functions:

• Inspect warehouse for unwrapped rolls, missing tappis, damaged rolls and stacking
• Check, fix and re-tape outer wraps if needed on rolls, relabel, cut down damage product
• Assist warehouse person as needed to prioritize receiving shipments .
• Inspect paper rolls that you are receiving to insure accuracy of product being received and not damaged.
• Carton making as needed
• Ability to be a self-starter and work with limited supervision and complete required tasks on a daily basis
• Shred printed documents, Clean up, sweep floor and Aisle throughout your scheduled shift.
• Assist Press service and Material handlers as needed.
• Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned
• It is the responsibility of all Solution Delivery employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual
• Will train to operate a fork truck, clamp truck, and walker/ryder

Hours: Monday - Friday 3pm to11pm

Shift Premium: $2 per hour

Sign on Bonus: $1000

Qualifications:

Previous forklift experience highly preferred but not required

Previous experience in a printing environment preferred
Some experience in the operation of various hand tools preferred
Must be able to work in a team environment

Additional Information

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $18.12 - $24.82 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include a sign-on bonus of $1000, overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
