About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Architect to join our growing team in Sydney. This role is suited to a highly skilled professional with substantial experience in residential drafting, construction documentation, and development approval processes.


The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing design documentation and supporting residential projects from concept development through approvals and construction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare architectural designs, drawings, plans, and specifications for residential, commercial, and other construction projects.

  • Prepare detailed working drawings, construction documentation, and architectural specifications.

  • Coordinate with clients to understand project requirements, design preferences, budgets, and timelines.

  • Liaise with engineers, builders, contractors, consultants, and other professionals to ensure effective project coordination.

  • Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements, building codes, standards, and relevant regulations.

  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved plans and specifications.

  • Provide architectural advice and technical support throughout the construction process.

  • Assist with planning approvals, development applications, building approvals, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Select and specify appropriate building materials, finishes, fixtures, and construction methods.

  • Prepare and review project documentation, schedules, estimates, and material specifications.

  • Identify design issues, construction problems, and variations and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Coordinate design changes and amendments with relevant stakeholders.

  • Monitor project quality, timelines, and compliance with approved designs and specifications.

  • Attend project meetings and provide updates on design, construction, and technical matters.

  • Assist with project budgeting, cost control, tender documentation, and contractor selection where required.

  • Ensure architectural work complies with applicable Australian Standards, National Construction Code (NCC), planning requirements, and workplace health and safety requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, approvals, correspondence, and project documentation.

  • Use architectural and computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar programs.

  • Support the project team in delivering construction projects within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.


Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:



  • Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Architecture, or a related field.
