Position: Power BI Developer

Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:

•                     Senior Data Analyst builds complex dimensional data models and reports from the bottom up, visualizes compelling data stories on the report canvas, collaborates with other teams to engineer revolutionary agency wide data solutions, develops and implements data visualization solutions.

•                     The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for architecting and delivering robust business intelligence and data visualization solutions that enable agency-wide insight and decision-making.

•                     This role builds complex dimensional data models, develops interactive dashboards and reports, and transforms data into compelling visual narratives for business and technical stakeholders.

•                     The developer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable reporting solutions that improve visibility, usability, and impact across the organization.

•                     This position requires at least 5 years of hands-on Power BI experience and the ability to independently perform a broad range of highly complex technical work.

•                     The ideal candidate applies sound judgment, plans and executes work with minimal oversight, and brings a high level of creativity, initiative, and problem-solving ability to each engagement.

•                     This role may also lead projects or provide guidance to other team members as needed.

Required Skills:

•                     Expertise in Power BI report development, dashboard design, and dimensional modeling

•                     Ability to translate complex data into intuitive and actionable visual insights

•                     Experience partnering with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver reporting solutions

•                     Data analytics, creating reports and dashboards using PowerBI.

•                     Strong understanding of data storytelling, usability, and visualization best practices

•                     Data pipelines, ETL, ELT and similar concepts to bring data from different resources to power the dashboards.

•                     Proficiency in SQL, including stored procedures views and other database objects.

•                     System Analysis and Design

•                     Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

•                     Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment

Preferred Skills:

•                     Strong communication, organization, and facilitation skills.

•                     Strong analytical skills to be able to interpret business requirements to create technology solutions, or reverse engineer an existing solution when needed, or when there is lack in documentation.

•                     Data analytics and reporting experience in Power BI or similar technology.

•                     Experience with Atlassian Jira

•                     Prior experience or familiarity with TEA applications and programs
