Job description
Registered Children's Home Manager
Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Up to £60,000 + Bonus + Genuine Progression Opportunity
Want to build something, not just manage it?
Delphi Care Solutions are proud to be partnering with an ambitious and growing children's residential care provider to recruit an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager for their established EBD service in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is a rare opportunity to join a provider at an exciting stage of its journey.
Rather than stepping into a large corporate structure where decisions take months and your ideas get lost, you'll work closely with the directors, have genuine influence over the service, and play a key role in shaping the future growth of the organisation.
The home is a spacious five-bedroom property registered for up to four children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). With strong foundations already in place, the focus is now on finding a passionate leader who can continue driving quality, stability and positive outcomes for young people while helping the business move forward.
What's different about this role?
- You'll have genuine autonomy to lead the home and make decisions that matter
- The directors are hands-on, approachable and committed to achieving the highest standards of care
- You'll be trusted to influence operational decisions and future business growth
- The home is established, giving you the opportunity to focus on development rather than constant firefighting
- You'll work alongside leadership that values ideas, initiative and innovation
- As the organisation grows, so will your opportunities for progression and career development
- You'll be part of a provider that wants to do things properly and put children at the centre of everything they do
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, performance and compliance of the home, ensuring young people receive the highest quality care within a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a motivated and high-performing staff team
- Maintaining full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards
- Driving positive outcomes for children and young people
- Ensuring safeguarding remains at the heart of the service
- Managing quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Developing positive relationships with local authorities, social workers and external professionals
- Supporting occupancy, referrals and service development
- Working closely with the directors on strategic planning and future expansion opportunities
About You
We're keen to speak with experienced residential childcare leaders who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential setting
- Strong experience supporting young people with EBD
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Excellent working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding legislation
- A proven track record of leading successful teams and improving outcomes
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Ambition, professionalism and a genuine desire to make a lasting difference to young people's lives
The Opportunity
This role will suit an ambitious Registered Manager who wants more than simply keeping a home compliant.
It's an opportunity to become a key member of a growing organisation, work directly alongside supportive directors and play an active role in shaping the next chapter of the business.
If you're looking for a position where your experience is valued, your voice is heard and your career can continue to develop, we'd love to speak with you.
