Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced, hands-on Quality Engineers to join a leading manufacturer based in the West Midlands on a contract basis.

Contract Details

  • Outside IR35
  • Various contract durations available
  • Multiple headcount

Key Responsibilities

  • APQP & PPAP: Manage quality deliverables, production approval, capability studies, and customer requirements through the NPI process.
  • PFMEA & Control Plans: Identify manufacturing risks, define controls, and ensure PFMEA, Control Plans and process controls are aligned.
  • Process validation: Support prototype/pilot builds, run-at-rate, process audits, MSA/Gauge R&R and demonstrate process capability.
  • Problem solving: Investigate launch defects using 8D, 5 Why, root-cause analysis and corrective actions, updating quality documentation accordingly.
  • Launch & supplier quality: Monitor quality KPIs, support supplier readiness, manage containment/safe launch activities and ensure processes are ready for SOP.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer
  • Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and NPI quality processes
  • Hands-on approach
