Big Data Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC/Jersey City, NJ

Contract (1 Year) on W2

we need 6+ years of experience with banking/finance domain exp.

Please share 6-7 years of experienced profile with strong Hadoop ecosystem experience and must have python programming knowledge.

Position Summary

Work on building and maintaining large-scale data platforms in the financial domain
Contribute to data engineering, platform stability, and deployment automation
Partner with cross-functional teams (business, risk, compliance, architecture) to deliver data solutions
Work on Big Data platforms using:
o Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark, YARN)
o Streaming technologies (Kafka preferred)
Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and technical implementations
Troubleshoot and optimize data processing jobs, batch and streaming pipelines
Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across systems
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
Support automated deployments and release processes
Work with infrastructure as code tools
Monitor systems using tools like Splunk
Improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications
Experience with Big Data Technologies
Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark, YARN)
Demonstrated leadership and client relationship skills
Strong professional work ethic, flexible, reliable, can work individually or within a team.
Ability to work under pressure and responsible for delivery on time.
Experience in data engineering and distributed systems
