Duration of the training program: 12 months from 1/7/27 up to 30/6/28
Term of the Contract: 3 Years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement
At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3 year contract.

About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Vitreo-Retina Fellow to join our Ophthalmology team at Royal Adelaide Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to both inpatient and outpatient patients under the guidance of experienced consultants. You will play an integral part in delivering exceptional patient care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to clinical decision-making in the vitreo-retina specialty.
As a Vitreo-Retina Fellow, you will also support junior medical staff, ensuring a high standard of clinical practice and fostering a positive learning environment. You will have the opportunity to enhance your clinical and teaching skills through active participation in departmental teaching and training programs. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your expertise in vitreo-retina while contributing to the education of the next generation of medical professionals.

- MBBS or equivalent, registerable with AHPRA
- High clinical practice standards with a focus on quality improvement
- Experience supervising and teaching junior medical staff
