Windows / Virtualisation Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Zurich
Languages: German and English
Contract duration: 12 months
Start date: around December 2026

Required Background

• 5-10+ years of experience in Windows Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration or Platform Support
• Strong experience supporting business-critical production environments
• Proven background in infrastructure operations, incident, problem and change management
• Experience working within regulated enterprise environments, ideally banking, financial services, insurance or other highly controlled industries
• Strong understanding of operational controls, availability, resilience and platform security
• Exposure to datacentre operations, infrastructure lifecycle management and production support processes

Technical Skills

• Strong experience administering Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP
• Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vSphere and vCenter, including virtual server provisioning, lifecycle management and platform optimisation
• Good understanding of PowerShell scripting, infrastructure monitoring, storage/SAN technologies and ITIL-based operational support processes

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microsoft SCCM / MECM
• Automation and scripting experience
• Exposure to enterprise datacentre and virtualisation environments
• Experience within financial services or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of high-availability, backup and disaster recovery solutions
