Job Description

Senior Process Automation Engineer | Hastings, MN, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Design, develop, test, and commission industrial process automation systems.
  • Act as a technical lead on projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Support sales efforts by providing pre-sales technical assistance and proposal development.
  • Coordinate with product departments and electrical designers to ensure integrated system solutions.
  • Commission instrumentation, electrical, and control systems at customer sites, including I/O checkout and punch-list resolution.
  • Manage assigned automation and electrical engineers, monitoring tasks and ensuring deadline adherence.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in a similar automation engineering role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software tools; experience with Rockwell Automation is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial and business acumen, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
