Job description

  • Location: Baltimore, MD

  • Department: Speech Therapy
  • Schedule: Day | Part-time
  • Sign-on Bonus: Up to $3,750
  • Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
  • Educates and counsels patient and family regarding treatment plans.
  • Maintains clinical records and follows performance improvement recommendations.
  • Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provides information regarding appropriate support programs.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
    • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech-Language Pathologists obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech-Language Pathologists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
Education
  • Required: Master's degree from accredited Speech & Language Pathology program of university. Preferred: Doctorate degree from accredited Speech & Language Pathology program of university.
