• The Opportunity: Support NSWC Carderock by maintaining their Linux infrastructure. Ensure combat readiness through the cutting edge application of technology.

Responsibilities: • Install/configure Linux server • Write and update custom kickstart image • Patch management (full life cycle, Satellite server) • Support application deployments / Enterprise Automation (AAP, Satellite, IDM, Splunk) • Security hardening, STIG remediation, Compliance frameworks (RMF, DISA STIGs) • Root cause analysis of complex outages • Forensics & log correlation • Kernel-level troubleshooting • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) • CI/CD pipeline integration • Architecture documentation • Storage engineering (SAN/NAS, multipathing) • Infrastructure Design and Hardening • Design HA and clustering solutions • Work with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) Qualifications: Advanced scripting & troubleshooting (ansible playbooks, bash, python)
OS Certification: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
8+ years working in Linux Administration
Strong Networking fundamentals (routing, firewalls, DNS) Strong CLI proficiency Desired: 3+ years working with Ansible
