Employer: Legion Technical Solutions (LTS) Build the Test Systems Behind Mission-Critical Technology Legion Technical Solutions (LTS) is seeking a hands-on Test Development Engineer II to support a premier aerospace and defense client in Andover, Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career electrical engineer who enjoys working across hardware and software and wants to develop practical experience with test stations, fixtures, PCB design, instrumentation, and automated test software. The Role
You will join the Sensor Test Solutions department, where multidisciplinary teams develop test solutions for advanced electronic systems. Project teams typically include five to ten engineers with expertise in RF, power, digital, and analog electronics. Your specific assignments will vary based on project timing, duration, and your technical strengths. The work will generally include a combination of electrical design, test-equipment integration, fixture development, PCB design, and automated test software development.

  • What You Will Do
  • Execute assigned technical engineering tasks within a collaborative team environment
  • Support the development and integration of test stations and fixtures
  • Contribute to electrical schematic capture and PCB design activities
  • Develop or support automated test software
  • Participate in scheduled project and technical meetings
  • Communicate progress, risks, and technical issues to the project lead
  • Work within a structured, process-heavy engineering environment
  • Support the deployment and continued operation of test equipment used in factory and depot facilities What Success Looks Like:
Success in this position means coming up to speed quickly and making a meaningful contribution to projects involving test stations, fixtures, and automated test software. Because most projects are completed by teams of five to ten engineers, strong communication, collaboration, personal accountability, and technical aptitude are essential. The successful candidate will be comfortable executing assigned work, participating in project meetings, reporting progress, and following established engineering processes. Required and Desired Qualifications
Core Technical Skills (Non-negotiables)
  • Electrical Test Instrument/Equipment experience
  • Power, RF, Digital Logic, Analog circuit knowledge
  • Automated Test Software development experience

Desired Skills (Nice-to-Have);

  • Experience with project leadership, project cost and schedule management, i.e. EVMS, MS Project
  • DoW (DoD) project development life-cycle processes Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Execute assigned technical tasks in a team-setting
  • Support any scheduled project meetings
  • Report progress peridocally (daily, weekly,etc.) as required by the project lead. Tools / Technologies Required:
  • Automated test software (C/C++/C#, LabView, TestStand)
