Senior Systems Engineer | Washington, DC, United States | Hybrid | $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

We are hiring on behalf of a leading technology solutions provider to government and commercial sectors, recognized for its innovative approaches to complex challenges. This organization is dedicated to outthinking, outbuilding, and outpacing the status quo, fostering a culture of disruption and relentless pursuit of mission success. They are seeking a proactive Senior Systems Engineer to join a critical program supporting air traffic control systems.

The Role

  • Provide engineering design review, scheduling, and installation oversight for KVM systems within the Air Traffic Control System Command Center operational floor.
  • Review and assess site survey reports to inform installation planning.
  • Offer technical review and comments for future installations, including conceptual rack layouts, cabling, redundancy, and phased cutover strategies.
  • Coordinate and schedule site preparation activities, and evaluate existing site surveys.
  • Conduct site surveys to identify and document preparation requirements.
  • Research and provide cost estimates, track project schedules, and manage resource requirements.
  • Develop site-specific project plans and specifications, and prepare status reports.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8-12+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 6-10+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience in developing requirements and features, ideally within an agile program.
  • Experience with FAA air traffic systems or flight planning systems is highly desirable.
  • Background in voice communications integration, IP radios, and ED-137 compliance.
  • Ability to obtain FAA Public Trust Suitability prior to program commencement.
