NASA PUBLIC TRUST REQUIRED
100% ONSITE - FAIRMONT, WV DESCRIPTION OF POSITION / DUTIES: All Points is seeking a Network Engineer III to support enterprise network engineering, administration, cybersecurity, and infrastructure operations in support of NASA's Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Program in Fairmont, West Virginia. THIS IS A FEDERAL CONTRACT - U.S.

CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED The selected candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, security, troubleshooting, and sustainment of enterprise network infrastructure supporting mission-critical NASA environments. This position requires senior-level technical expertise and the ability to independently lead complex engineering efforts while ensuring network reliability, performance, and security. DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Design, configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot ALE OmniSwitch infrastructure supporting enterprise LAN environments
  • Configure and maintain VLANs, routing, spanning tree, switch stacks, link aggregation, and network capacity enhancements
  • Administer OmniVista management platforms including monitoring, alerting, topology management, inventory, templates, and centralized configuration management
  • Configure and maintain FortiGate firewalls, including routing, segmentation, security policies, firmware updates, high-availability configurations, and connectivity troubleshooting
  • Utilize FortiAnalyzer for centralized logging, reporting, event correlation, dashboard development, retention management, and alerting
  • Design, implement, and support Network Access Control (NAC) solutions using Aruba ClearPass or similar technologies
  • Administer and support 802.1X authentication, EAP-TLS implementation, PKI, and certificate lifecycle management
  • Resolve complex switching, routing, firewall, and access-control issues across enterprise environments
  • Develop and maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, configuration baselines, and standard operating procedures
  • Support network security initiatives and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with systems administrators, cybersecurity teams, engineers, and vendors to ensure secure and reliable network operations
  • Participate in on-call support and operational response activities as required
  • Evaluate vendor advisories, firmware updates, security bulletins, and industry best practices EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Associate degree (AA/AS) with relevant experience may be considered.
  • THIS IS A FEDERAL CONTRACT - U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • 10-15 years of relevant IT and network engineering experience
  • Minimum 5 years of enterprise network engineering or administration experience
  • Senior-level experience independently performing complex network engineering activities

  • $100,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This position supports NASA's Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Program and requires full-time onsite support in Fairmont, West Virginia.
