Job Description

Raisin is the world’s leading platform for savings and investment products. Founded in 2012, the FinTech connects consumers with banks in the EU, the UK and the US. This gives consumers better interest rates and banks a diversified form of refinancing. Our vision is to offer savings and investments without barriers and thus open up the global 160 trillion euro market.

Raisin currently employs more than 800 people from over 75 countries worldwide. Today, the platform holds over 80 billion euros in assets from more than one million investors which have accrued over 5 billion euros in returns.

Team

The Design team at Raisin brings together product designers and brand & marketing designers. We are united by a shared belief in respect, creativity, and our purpose to give people financial peace of mind.

As our Senior Brand & Motion Designer, you'll join the Brand and Marketing Design team. We shape how Raisin looks, moves, and feels across every market we operate in: paid and organic social, our websites, product launches, and campaigns. You'll report to the Head of Brand and Marketing Design and work closely with Growth Marketing, Performance Marketing, CRM, Product, and Communications teams across Europe, the UK, and the US.

Motion is currently the most exciting greenfield area of our brand identity. We are looking for an entrepreneurial motion designer to define our motion principles, build scalable systems, and elevate our visual storytelling across all touchpoints.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define Motion Principles: Shape how the Raisin brand expresses itself through movement, establishing distinct principles for timing, easing, transitions, and typographic behavior.
  • Build & Scale Motion Systems: Create and maintain comprehensive motion guidelines, reusable component libraries, and After Effects/Figma/Jitter templates to enable efficient production across internal teams and external partners.
  • Campaign & Social Creation: Partner with Performance and Growth Marketing to produce high-performing motion assets (Meta, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn) and organic social content, from hero campaign assets to fast, iterative test variations.
  • Video Editing & Post-Production: Edit and polish campaign videos, product teasers, and social cuts, managing pacing, sound design, light color grading, and burned-in captioning.
  • Product & UI Visualization: Collaborate with Web and Product Design teams to create clear product animations and UI micro-interactions (delivered in production-ready formats like Lottie or Rive) that explain savings, investment, and pension concepts simply and transparently.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead motion projects from concept to final export, including storyboards, styleframes, animation, QA, and oversight of external creative agencies or production partners.
  • Mentorship & Culture: Share motion expertise across the broader design team, empowering non-motion designers to think in movement and elevating the team's craft standard.
  • Workflow Innovation: Explore emerging tools (including AI-assisted workflows) to streamline repetitive task execution without compromising visual quality.

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of motion design experience, in-house or agency, ideally for fintech, tech, or brand-driven companies.
  • A strong portfolio showing brand motion work and marketing work: identity systems, campaigns, social content, and product or UI animation.
  • Expert in After Effects, Jitter, and Figma; highly proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A deep understanding of animation principles (timing, easing, staging, rhythm) and how motion communicates brand character.
  • Proven track record of thinking in systems, building motion templates, libraries, and workflows that enable other designers to produce consistent work at scale.
  • A solid understanding of paid and organic social: formats, safe zones, pacing, and what makes someone stop scrolling.
  • Creative pragmatism: you know when to spend two days on a hero animation and when to ship a variation in two hours.
  • Data-Informed Approach: Curiosity about creative performance data and an eagerness to test, learn, and iterate based on results.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools in a professional motion or image production workflow.
  • Business-fluent English skills with the ability to articulate design rationale clearly and incorporate feedback constructively.

Nice to have

  • 3D and animation skills (Cinema 4D, Blender).
  • Hands-on experience preparing production-ready Lottie or Rive animations for web and mobile apps.
  • Basic understanding of design requirements within regulated industries (finance, health, or insurance).
  • German language skills.
