AWS Java Developer

Introduction:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Java Developer with strong expertise in Java-based application development, RESTful web services, cloud technologies, and modern distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience and at least 4+ years of AWS experience, with strong knowledge of web services security and containerized environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Develop, host, consume, and secure RESTful Web Services/APIs using Java.
• Implement robust API security using JWT (JSON Web Token), SSL/TLS, OAuth 2.0, and/or OIDC (OpenID Connect).
• Design and implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for REST APIs.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services.
• Build and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Work with Kafka for event-driven architecture, messaging, and distributed data processing.
• Develop or maintain applications using Golang and/or modern Java, with recent hands-on development experience.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, API, security, performance, and production issues.
• Participate in Agile development practices, code reviews, technical design discussions, and PI planning activities.

Requirements:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional Java development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Java.
• Strong experience developing RESTful Web Services using Java.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • REST API development
  • REST API hosting and deployment
  • REST API consumption/integration
  • REST API security
• Strong and mandatory experience in Web Services/API Security, including one or more of:
  • JWT
  • SSL/TLS
  • OAuth 2.0
  • OIDC (OpenID Connect)
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Recent development experience with Golang and/or Java.
• Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven/messaging architectures.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with API gateways and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience working in large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience participating in PI Planning / SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environments.
