Public Works Flood Control Project Manager

Introduction:

This position involves leading and directing activities to meet client expectations in the field of public works flood control projects. The ideal candidate will have a PE license, marketing and business development experience, and a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification or the ability to obtain one within six months.

Responsibilities:

• Lead business development, client marketing, and project development activities
• Manage water resources projects involving hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, flood hazard identification/mitigation, FEMA studies, and more
• Mentor staff, review engineering calculations, and supervise the planning and development of construction documents
• Develop scopes, prepare cost proposals, and negotiate contracts
• Create and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
• Supervise and mentor employees, applying technical knowledge throughout project duration

Requirements:

• BS in Civil Engineering
• AZ Professional Engineer’s license
• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification or ability to obtain within six months
• Ability to plan, organize, supervise, and coordinate technical work
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills

Other Key Requirements:

• Work on-site in Phoenix, AZ
