This role helps maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked work areas; supports instrument and equipment maintenance; prepares required buffers and consumables; assists with troubleshooting and vendor support activities; and assists with receiving, documentation, storage, and delivery of laboratory materials, including temperature-sensitive items.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, workspaces, and support systems to ensure operational readiness.
  • Prepare routine laboratory buffers, aliquots, and consumables according to established procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track supply usage, and coordinate movement of materials between controlled work areas.
  • Support laboratory cleanliness, decontamination, waste handling, recycling, and general housekeeping activities.
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, labeling, documentation, and delivery of laboratory supplies and cold-chain materials.
  • Scan, organize, and maintain receiving records, packing slips, and related operational documentation.
  • Monitor environmental systems and equipment alerts, escalate issues, and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external technical support providers to help resolve equipment or workflow issues.
  • Follow established safety, contamination-control, documentation, and workflow procedures.
  • Plan daily work carefully to support efficient movement through controlled laboratory spaces and minimize workflow disruption.
  • Background in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related life-science field.
  • 0–1 years of relevant laboratory, academic, internship, or work experience.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety, contamination control, and proper handling of biological or laboratory materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, documentation accuracy, and time management.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, maintain accurate records, and communicate issues clearly.
  • Comfort working in a structured laboratory environment with defined workflows and operational constraints.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with basic laboratory equipment, inventory tracking, sample or reagent handling, or laboratory receiving processes.
  • Familiarity with cold-chain handling, equipment maintenance logs, or laboratory information systems.
  • Ability to prioritize competing operational tasks and proactively identify supply or workflow risks.
