Full stack .Net Lead Developer Job Description

Lead Developer to guide the design and delivery of eCommerce platform. This role will lead development across the guest-facing booking journey and the services that power availability, pricing, inventory, reservations, payments, offers, upgrades, and add-on experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong full-stack engineering expertise with technical leadership, product thinking, and a passion for creating fast, reliable, secure, and intuitive digital guest experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership for the experience booking engine, from architecture and solution design through development, testing, release, and production support.
  • Lead a cross-functional engineering team by establishing coding standards, reviewing designs and pull requests, mentoring developers, and removing technical blockers.
  • Design and build scalable, modular services and user experiences for search, availability, pricing, inventory, offers, reservations, modifications, cancellations, and post-booking experiences.
  • Partner with product management, UX, architecture, analytics, revenue management, operations, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to translate guest and business needs into maintainable solutions.
  • Own API and integration design, with emphasis on resiliency, observability, idempotency, data integrity, error handling, and secure service-to-service communication.
  • Drive performance and conversion improvements across desktop and mobile booking journeys, including page speed, accessibility, responsive behavior, and experimentation.
  • Lead technical discovery, estimation, decomposition, dependency planning, and risk management. Clearly communicate tradeoffs and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Establish automated unit, integration, contract, end-to-end, performance, and security testing practices for business-critical booking flows.
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, monitoring, alerting, operational dashboards, and incident-response readiness.
  • Ensure engineering work is documented and tracked through approved Agile delivery and issue-management processes.
  • Remain hands-on in the codebase while providing day-to-day technical direction and maintaining accountability for solution quality.

Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, including experience leading the technical delivery of customer-facing, transaction-oriented web applications.
  • Advanced experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, Entity Framework, LINQ, and SQL Server or comparable relational data platforms.
  • Strong experience with modern front-end development using React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Demonstrated experience designing REST APIs, distributed integrations, data contracts, and secure authentication and authorization flows.
  • Experience with cloud-native application design and deployment on Azure, AWS, or a comparable cloud platform.
  • Experience with automated build and deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or comparable tools.
  • Strong understanding of application security, performance engineering, scalability, availability, monitoring, and production support.
  • Experience with automated testing, mocking, dependency injection, and test frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, Moq, Jest, or comparable tools.
  • Proven ability to lead code reviews, coach engineers, influence architectural decisions, and coordinate delivery across internal teams and external partners.
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
