Solution Architect | £600/day

We're currently looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a large-scale digital transformation programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a complex delivery environment, collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders to shape and deliver scalable, cloud-based solutions.

Location: Swansea (2 days per week onsite)
Rate: £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Clearance: SC Cleared or SC Eligible

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate solution architecture across multiple delivery workstreams.
• Work closely with delivery squads and engineering teams to guide technical design decisions.
• Produce high-quality architecture artefacts, including:
  • API Specifications
  • Sequence Diagrams
  • C4 Models
  • Solution & Architecture Diagrams
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and manage technical and delivery risks.
• Support the delivery of cloud-native solutions within an AWS environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect within complex technology programmes.
• Strong technical background with the ability to engage credibly with development and engineering teams.
• Experience producing API specifications and architecture documentation.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud technologies.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerised platforms.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and architectural best practices.
• Current SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.

Desirable

• Experience working within public sector or highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and multidisciplinary teams.
