Duration: Longterm

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Spark Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize our next-generation, large-scale data platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for creating robust ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, process, and store massive datasets using Apache Spark running on AWS cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure our data infrastructure is scalable, secure, and production-ready.

  • Build cloud-native data lakes and warehousing solutions using AWS core analytics services like Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and Amazon EMR.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Spark jobs (e.g., memory management, partitioning, and caching) to reduce cloud compute costs and processing latency.
  • Implement highly structured data storage strategies using file formats like Parquet and modern Lakehouse frameworks like Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake.
  • Automate data workflows and manage cross-job dependencies utilizing tools like Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
  • Partner with data analytics teams to translate business needs into technical designs, write unit tests, and maintain strict data quality and governance standards.
