Job Description

A high-achieving secondary school in Hillingdon is seeking a passionate and engaging History Teacher to join their successful Humanities department from January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire young minds with a love of history and equip them with the knowledge and skills to become informed and responsible citizens.

The Role:

  • Deliver captivating History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism and experience.
  • Bring the past to life through engaging storytelling, interactive activities, and thought-provoking discussions.
  • Foster a deep understanding of historical events, figures, and movements, encouraging students to analyze and interpret historical evidence.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic and challenging History curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for History.
  • A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in History.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
