The Role

• Operate heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks accurately and safely.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate movements and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors through clear communication.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and maintain open availability for all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
