Staff Robotics Engineer, Maritime | Quincy, MA, United States | Hybrid

The Role

  • Lead the design and delivery of vehicle perception and planning capabilities integrated into maritime autonomous systems.
  • Drive the architecting, design, delivery, support, and evolution of safe and effective vehicle autonomy throughout the product life-cycle.
  • Own customer success through the management of a multi-year software roadmap across multiple teams.
  • Collaborate with external teams on interfacing requirements between diverse systems and technologies.
  • Lead teams in architecting, designing, and implementing safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems.
  • Perform high-impact individual contributor work across the entire perception and planning stack.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in C++ and/or Python software development.
  • Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors (radar, sonar, Lidar, cameras).
  • Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of: computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, machine learning.
  • Experience in a senior perception or planning role for robotic system delivery.
  • Ability to act as a technical owner for a system, managing roadmaps and coordinating teams.
