AWS Data Engineer

Location: Houston
Contract: 12–18 months

We are working with a leading energy trading firm that is looking for a Python Data Engineer to work on its post-trade system. This is a greenfield project, and experience with Databricks or Snowflake would be highly beneficial.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience as an AWS Data Engineer

• Advanced Python and SQL

• Proven experience building and supporting complex ETL/ELT pipelines and data platforms

• Strong experience with AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda and Redshift

• Hands-on experience with Databricks or Snowflake

• Experience with data modelling, integration and large-scale data environments

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code

• Previous experience within financial services, commodities or trading

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
