Engineering Manager for AI enabled PODs

The Engineering Manager is a technology leader responsible for the successful execution and delivery of AI enabled PODs, A small, highly autonomous teams of 3-5 engineers that leverage AI to accelerate software development and delivery. This role oversees multiple AI enabled POD teams and is accountable for delivery outcomes, engineering quality, team development, and operational reporting.

The ideal candidate has a strong software engineering background, hands-on experience with AIDLC frameworks (such as SpecKit or equivalent), proficiency with AI-enabled development tools including GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, and enterprise-approved ChatGPT, and a passion for leading teams in an AI-first development environment. This role requires close collaboration with Product, Architecture, Quality Engineering, Performance Testing, and other cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide technical and thought leadership across AI POD teams, including Software Engineers, AI Engineers, Quality Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and SREs.
• Lead the adoption of AIDLC and Flow-based delivery practices, transitioning teams from traditional Scrum-based development models to AI Enabled PODs.
• Own delivery execution, quality outcomes, and operational reporting across assigned AI PODs.
• Conduct and oversee technical design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery, quality, and execution challenges.
• Partner with Architecture teams to define scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners to align engineering delivery with business objectives, product vision, and key metrics.
• Establish and enforce software engineering standards, practices, including code quality, testing, security, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including application development.
• 2+ years of people leadership and team management experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• 1+ years of experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, or similar platforms to design, build, test, document, and deliver production software.
• Experience delivering digital products and platforms (web, eCommerce, or consumer-facing applications).
• Strong experience with modern front-end technologies (Angular, React, JavaScript/TypeScript) and Java-based back-end development.
• Experience building and deploying AI/ML solutions using machine learning models and/or large language models (LLMs).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, with Azure preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, coaching, and servant-leadership skills.
