Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Virtualization & Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI), Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server, SQL Server, SUSE Linux, PowerShell, Bash, SCCM/MECM, and infrastructure monitoring tools. This role requires strong troubleshooting, automation, and systems administration skills in a hybrid infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain virtualized infrastructure using Microsoft Hyper-V and Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI).
• Administer and optimize Windows Server environments, including performance, security, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Manage SQL Server environments, including maintenance, backups, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
• Configure and support enterprise file sharing and storage services with appropriate security and access controls.
• Administer SUSE Linux systems within mixed Windows/Linux infrastructure environments.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash for infrastructure deployment, administration, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Implement and manage infrastructure monitoring and alerting solutions such as Azure Monitor, Nagios, Zabbix, or similar platforms.
• Administer SCCM/Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM) for software deployment, patch management, system inventory, configuration, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, virtualization, operating system, and platform-related issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, application, and other IT teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, optimization initiatives, and hybrid cloud projects.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and infrastructure standards.
   

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Local / Azure Stack HCI and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Strong administration and troubleshooting experience with Windows Server environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Experience administering SUSE Linux in enterprise or hybrid environments.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and Bash.
• Hands-on experience with SCCM/MECM for software deployment, patching, configuration management, inventory, and reporting.
• Experience with enterprise infrastructure monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Nagios, Zabbix, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of virtualization, operating systems, networking, storage, security, and enterprise infrastructure concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure, Azure Stack HCI, MCSE, or relevant Linux certifications.
• Experience working with hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Experience with cloud migration and infrastructure modernization projects.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management.
