Schlosser / Metallbauer als Monteur m/w/d | Mainz, Germany | On-site This employer is seeking a skilled Schlosser / Metallbauer to join their team and contribute to the crucial energy transition by working on substation construction and modernization projects. You'll be instrumental in building and maintaining essential energy infrastructure across southwestern Germany. The Role • Assemble steel structures for medium, high, and extra-high voltage switchgear (up to 380kV). • Install high and medium voltage equipment and electrical systems, including supporting components. • Perform the assembly and disassembly of bolted and crimped connections, as well as pipe and cable installation. • Review and mark up plan documents with red markings for updates. What You'll Need • Completed apprenticeship as a locksmith, metalworker, industrial mechanic, construction mechanic, or a comparable qualification. • Prior experience in locksmithing or related fields such as construction, mechanical engineering, energy technology, or the metal processing industry. • Ideally, experience working safely with electrical installations. • A valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel to project sites with your personal vehicle. • Readiness for regular on-site assignments from Monday to Friday, potentially involving overnight stays. • Good German language skills and a self-motivated, responsible work ethic.
