Fire &amp; Security Engineer - Bristol and surrounding areas - £34k-£40k plus overtime<br />Benefits: Company van, fuel card, overtime, pension and additional benefits We are working with an established and growing fire and security business that is looking for an experienced Fire &amp; Security Engineer to join its team, covering Bristol and the surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys the variety of working across different systems and sites, takes pride in solving problems and wants to be part of a business that values its engineers. You will be joining a supportive team with organised scheduling, technical backup and the tools and equipment needed to deliver a great service. What you will be doing Your role will be predominantly service and maintenance focused, working across a range of residential and commercial sites. Responsibilities will include:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing fire alarm and electronic security systems.
• Working across CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and fire detection systems.
• Investigating faults and identifying practical, effective solutions.
• Completing smaller installation works and system upgrades when required.
• Attending reactive call-outs and helping customers resolve technical issues.
• Completing accurate service reports and technical documentation.
• Ensuring work meets relevant industry standards and health and safety requirements.
• Building positive relationships with customers and working closely with the wider service team.
• Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota. What we are looking for We would love to speak with engineers who have:
• Around two to three years' experience in fire and security engineering, ideally within service and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• A good understanding of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.
• The ability to work independently and manage their time effectively.
• A professional, approachable manner when dealing with customers.
• A full UK driving licence. Industry qualifications such as FIA or City &amp; Guilds would be advantageous, as would knowledge of BS 5839, NSI, BAFE and IP-based security systems. An 18th Edition qualification would also be beneficial but is not essential. What is on offer?
