OpenShift Engineer

Introduction:

We are looking for a skilled OpenShift Engineer to join our team. As an OpenShift Engineer, you will be responsible for managing OpenShift clusters, implementing OpenShift Data Foundation and Platform Plus, and ensuring advanced cluster security. You will work with technologies such as Ceph, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab to streamline deployment processes and optimize system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage OpenShift clusters and perform OpenShift Administration tasks
• Implement OpenShift Data Foundation and Platform Plus to support application development
• Ensure advanced cluster security and implement necessary measures to protect data
• Administer Ceph storage system and optimize performance
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes to deploy containerized applications and microservices
• Collaborate with team members to migrate and refactor applications to containerized workloads
• Automate deployment processes using tools like GitLab
• Apply DevOps concepts and practices to streamline development and deployment workflows
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Document processes, share knowledge, and train team members on best practices

Requirements:

Required Skills:

• Experience with OpenShift Administration and cluster management
• Proficiency in Ceph Administration and storage system optimization
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab for deployment and automation
• Understanding of firewall configurations and network protocols
• Ability to communicate technical issues effectively and provide comprehensive documentation
• Experience with computer networking and load balancer configurations

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Advanced Cluster Management and security measures
• Familiarity with Java, JBoss, nginx, Node.js, and enterprise application architectures
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices
• Analytical skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
