Job Description

Senior Global Payroll Client Manager

London | Hybrid

We are looking for someone with a slightly unusual combination of experience:

Payroll expertise + international exposure + excellent client management skills.

This opportunity sits with a large international organisation providing services to sophisticated multinational businesses.

You'll take ownership of a portfolio of important client relationships, coordinating payroll delivery across different countries and becoming the person clients rely on when they have a complex query, escalation or change requirement.

It's therefore not simply a payroll processing position .

You'll need to understand UK payroll properly, but you'll also need the confidence to sit opposite senior client stakeholders, lead service conversations, challenge where appropriate and coordinate multiple international teams to get things done.

You'll be involved in:

  1. International and multi-country payroll coordination
  2. Strategic client relationship management
  3. UK payroll advisory
  4. Complex payroll queries and escalations
  5. Client governance and service reviews
  6. International stakeholder management
  7. Payroll implementations and transitions
  8. Process and service improvement

I'm particularly interested in people who have:

✓ Strong UK payroll experience

✓ Multi-country / international payroll exposure

✓ Client-facing payroll experience

✓ Experience dealing with senior stakeholders

✓ Knowledge of UK PAYE, National Insurance and statutory payroll requirements

✓ Experience managing payroll problems through to resolution

Previous experience working for a payroll provider, outsourced payroll business or managed-service environment would be particularly interesting.

Experience within financial services, asset management, professional services or another regulated environment would also be valuable, but I wouldn't rule someone out simply because they haven't worked in those sectors.

CIPP qualifications are advantageous but not essential where there is strong practical experience.

London | Permanent | Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite

If your background sits somewhere between Global Payroll, Client Services and International Payroll Operations , I'd love to hear from you.
