Cloud Support Engineer II/Azure VMware Solution Operations Suppo with Security Clearance

Dunhill Government Solutions is hiring a Cloud Support Engineer II / Azure VMware Solution (AVS) Operations Support Specialist to join an AVS operations support team providing comprehensive 24/7 technical support for a cloud-based VMware infrastructure. You will troubleshoot complex issues across VMware vSphere infrastructure, NSX-T networking, vSAN storage and ExpressRoute connectivity within the AVS environment, communicate effectively with customers during critical incidents, and drive swift resolution of service-impacting events.

As part of a global team, you will take part in on-call rotations, collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, and improve operational efficiency through automation and process refinement. This is an on-site, shift-based role (no telework) in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, debug and mitigate faults in complex online services, delivering critical support across time zones to keep the platform available and performing
• Manage and troubleshoot VMware vSphere infrastructure, including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts and NSX-T networking components within Azure VMware Solution
• Diagnose and resolve AVS connectivity issues, including ExpressRoute circuits, HCX migration tools and vSAN storage performance
• Identify and script automatable problems (PowerShell, SQL, Python) and work with efficiency in mind
• Identify and drive recovery levers with feature teams; execute with precision in time-sensitive outage scenarios
• Interact with external customers and partners, and communicate status changes and impact clearly in written and spoken English
• Participate in on-call rotations and support various rotating shifts under continuous deadline pressure Required qualifications:
• Active DoD Secret security clearance, and the ability to pass CJIS adjudication
• US citizen currently residing in the US (dual citizenship is not allowed for this work) holding an unexpired US Passport book
• 5+ years of experience diagnosing/debugging faults in complex online services
• Experience with PowerShell, SQL and Python scripting
• Experience with VMware vSphere infrastructure management, including vCenter Server, ESXi host troubleshooting and NSX-T networking components within Azure VMware Solution
• Proficiency diagnosing and resolving Azure VMware Solution connectivity issues, including ExpressRoute circuits, HCX migration tools and vSAN storage performance optimization
• Able to work under continuous deadline pressure and support various rotating shifts
• Able to work on site in Fairfax, VA Preferred: BS in Computer Science or another technical discipline.

Location: On site (no telework) in Fairfax, VA; shift work.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week; day shift with rotating shifts and on-call rotations.

Compensation: $46.63 - $50.48 per hour #cjpost
