The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks safely and efficiently. • Position and relocate containers within the intermodal yard according to operational needs. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage container movements and tasks. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established safety protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including various shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
