Position Overview:

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer II to support the design, development, testing, and deployment of cloud-native platform services and capabilities. The engineer will work within a cross-functional Agile team to build cloud services, APIs, data integrations, user-facing capabilities, and platform observability solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud platform components.
Build REST APIs, backend services, data-processing functions, and event-driven workflows.
Develop integrations with enterprise data sources.
Support data ingestion, validation, normalization, storage, and retrieval.
Develop/support web interfaces and dashboards for platform health and AI performance.
Implement logging, metrics, distributed tracing, error handling, and health checks.
Write unit, integration, API, and automated regression tests.
Participate in code reviews and ensure performance, security, and maintainability.
Support CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud troubleshooting.
Integrate AI services through APIs and standardized interface contracts.
Implement RBAC and follow security, privacy, and audit requirements.
Maintain technical documentation, API specifications, deployment guides, and design notes.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
Troubleshoot application and operational issues using logs, metrics, and traces.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2–5 years of software development experience.
Strong programming experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Experience developing/consuming REST APIs and JSON.
Understanding of OOP, software design principles, and application architecture.
Experience with SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
Experience with Git/GitHub, branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
Experience with unit and integration testing.
Basic understanding of cloud computing, containers, and CI/CD.
Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, and RDS.
Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, or BigQuery.
Experience with Java and JavaScript.
Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Experience with Apigee, including API proxies, authentication, policies, publishing, and traffic monitoring.
Experience building Java applications or REST services using Spring Boot.
Understanding of the complete SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Agentic AI, RAG, RAGAS, vectorization, and LLM orchestration.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
Experience with event-driven architecture, asynchronous processing, and data pipelines.
Experience with platform observability, dashboards, alerting, and distributed tracing.
Knowledge of OpenTelemetry or similar observability tools.
Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger.
Knowledge of authentication, authorization, RBAC, and secure coding practices.
Experience integrating AI/ML services through APIs.
Familiarity with prompt management, AI response validation, confidence scoring, and human feedback.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
