Custom Software Engineer
Client: AFS/Federal
VISA: GC
Clearance Required: Public Trust – Interim
Please note that this position requires regular onsite work at the client office near Rockville, MD. Candidates need to be local to the area.

Work Location

  • Location: Rockville, Maryland area
  • Work Arrangement: Regular onsite work required at the client office.
  • DMV candidates only.

Required Technical Skills

  • .NET Software Development: P3 – Advanced (7–10 years of experience)
  • Agile Application Development: P2 – Intermediate (3–5 years of experience)
  • DevSecOps: Required

Role Description

Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of complex software applications supporting enterprise business objectives and mission-critical operations.
Collaborate with software architects, business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional development teams to define technical requirements and develop scalable, secure application solutions.
Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with software development standards and best practices. Provide technical leadership by mentoring developers, resolving complex technical challenges, optimizing application performance, and delivering high-quality software solutions using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.

Additional Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong experience in .NET software development.
  • Experience working in Agile application development environments.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with DevSecOps practices.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and resolve complex development issues.
