Systems/Business Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Analyst - ServiceNow for a long-term contract position with a Large Energy Company located in Denver, CO. This is a contract opportunity targeted to complete in December 2026.

Compensation: $56.00 - $66.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic initiative to be completed by December 2026. The Business Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, and project teams to elicit requirements, document business processes, translate business needs into actionable user stories, and support successful solution delivery within the ServiceNow platform. This role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder management experience, and the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with business and technical stakeholders
• Analyze and document current and future-state business processes
• Create and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
• Work closely with ServiceNow developers and solution architects to ensure requirements are clearly understood
• Support backlog management, prioritization, and sprint planning activities
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities and validate delivered solutions against business requirements
• Performing functional testing on the test environment
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices
• Manage stakeholder communications and provide regular project updates
• Ensure appropriate documentation and knowledge transfer throughout the project lifecycle

Primary Requirements:

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise applications or digital transformation initiatives
• Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments
• Strong experience with requirements gathering, business process mapping, and user story creation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience supporting software development and implementation projects
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or related modules preferred

Desired Skills:

• ServiceNow platform experience
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, or equivalent certification
• Experience supporting utility, energy, or regulated industry organizations
• Familiarity with DEX/NexThink
