Job Description

Lead Business Analyst —Wealth and Asset Management

Location : Dallas, TX

Duration : Full time

Sub-Domain    OCIO / Institutional Asset Management

Reports To    Head AI & Data – Wealth and Asset Management

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an accomplished Lead Business Analyst with deep expertise in investment data operations and technology to join our OCIO and Institutional Asset Management practice. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical bridge between investment teams, technology, and operations — driving data transformation initiatives, governing investment data quality, and delivering analytical solutions that support fiduciary reporting for endowments, foundations, pension funds, and sovereign wealth clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
●    Act as Lead BA and primary liaison between OCIO technology teams and investment business owners, facilitating requirements workshops, gap analyses, and impact assessments for data platform modernization initiatives.
●    Partner with CIO stakeholders, portfolio managers, and client advisory teams to define enterprise data governance frameworks, translating complex investment policy requirements into actionable technical specifications.
●    Drive alignment across IT, operations, and front-office units, ensuring investment technology solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with institutional client mandates.
Investment Data Operations
●    Manage end-to-end business analysis for investment data operations workflows, including data ingestion, validation, and reconciliation for multi-asset class portfolios (private equity, hedge funds, fixed income, real assets).
●    Define requirements for automating NAV reconciliation, trade data aggregation, and benchmark mapping, improving SLA adherence for endowment, foundation, pension, and sovereign wealth client reporting.
●    Oversee data flows between custodian and fund administrator feeds, ensuring accuracy and completeness for performance reporting and investment analytics.
Data Transformation & Modernization
●    Lead requirements gathering and business process reengineering for firm-wide investment data transformation initiatives, including migration of legacy portfolio accounting data into centralized data warehouses.
●    Define and execute data mapping, cleansing, and normalization strategies to transform raw investment feeds into standardized data models enabling consistent performance attribution, manager research analytics, and risk reporting.
●    Ensure data lineage, traceability, and regulatory compliance throughout transformation projects across the full data lifecycle.
Analytics, Reporting & Platform Enhancement
●    Collaborate with technology and investment teams to enhance proprietary benchmarking and performance analytics platforms, streamlining data flows between front-office portfolio tools and middle/back-office reporting systems.
●    Design and maintain executive-facing dashboards surfacing KPIs on IT portfolio performance, data quality metrics, and operational SLAs to support data-driven decision-making for OCIO leadership and investment committees.
●    Champion data quality initiatives by defining validation rules, UAT strategies, and acceptance criteria, reducing post-deployment defects across performance reporting and client analytics systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
●    10+ years of business analysis experience with at least 3 years in a Lead or Senior BA capacity.
●    Strong domain expertise in OCIO, institutional asset management, or investment operations environments.
●    Hands-on experience with investment data operations across multi-asset class portfolios including private equity, hedge funds, fixed income, and real assets.
●    Proven track record delivering data transformation and modernization projects (data warehouse migrations, ETL pipelines, data lake implementations).
●    Deep understanding of performance attribution, benchmarking, manager research analytics, and fiduciary reporting requirements.
●    Proficiency in data modeling, data mapping, and business process reengineering.
●    Experience with Agile / SAFe delivery methodologies; strong skills in writing user stories, functional specs, and process flows.
●    Familiarity with portfolio accounting systems, custodian data feeds, and fund administrator reporting (e.g., Advent Geneva, SimCorp, Bloomberg).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
●    Experience supporting OCIO platforms serving endowments, foundations, pension funds, or sovereign wealth clients.
●    Knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements in investment management.
●    Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
●    Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake) in a financial services context.
●    CFA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus.
