Job Description

Overview VTG is seeking a Software Developer for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor's Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM /ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. The Software Developer will work with a large team of developers, software engineers and data engineers. The successful candidate will support continuity of our customer's mission by helping to modernize and implement industry standards while ensuring secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of IT systems. What will you do?

  • List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams for integrations and tasking delivery
  • Comfort and familiarity in maintaining legacy applications
  • Experience in modernization of legacy applications
  • Ability to write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances
  • Experience leveraging Amazon Web Services
  • Experience creating RESTful API
  • Experience with spring boot
  • Develop Java and Angular (Typescript)
  • Comfort and familiarity designing and utilizing custom ETL methodology
  • Strong communication, design, and documentation skills
  • Strong workflow and time management skills
  • Comfort and familiarity in unit testing, peer code review, and automated testing techniques like Selenium (create, edit, maintain, execute)
  • Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies
  • Ability to methodically think through technical challenges in a collaborative team environment in order to provide technically sound solutions Do you have what it takes?
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • BS degree and 4-10 years of prior relevant experience
  • Must have experience in multiple programming languages (Java, spring boot, Angular (Typescript), and the Cloud / Amazon Web Services)
  • Full Stack Development
  • Experience developing solutions to satisfy customer requirements and specifications
  • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, selenium, and Rundeck
  • Experience working in Command Line (RH Linux)
