Job Description

Title: IAM Business Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced IAM Business Analyst to gather requirements, analyze identity and access processes, and work with business, security, and technical teams to deliver IAM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements for IAM projects.
  • Analyze and improve Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) processes.
  • Define requirements for access requests, approvals, provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews.
  • Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Work with IAM Architects, Developers, Security, Compliance, and business stakeholders.
  • Support RBAC, access governance, role management, and access certification initiatives.
  • Participate in workshops, requirement discussions, SIT, UAT, and production validation.
  • Identify process gaps, risks, and opportunities for automation.
  • Support IAM integrations with Active Directory, HR systems, applications, and cloud platforms.
  • Ensure IAM processes align with security, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Track requirements and defects using Jira/Confluence.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience with strong IAM/IGA exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of IAM, Identity Governance, and Identity Lifecycle Management.
  • Experience with JML, RBAC, SSO, MFA, provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews.
  • Experience with IAM tools such as SailPoint, Okta, Saviynt, CyberArk, Ping, or ForgeRock is preferred.
  • Strong requirement gathering and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
  • Good documentation and process-mapping skills.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and enterprise application integrations.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.

Preferred: SQL, ServiceNow, Visio, Jira, Confluence, and IAM/PAM/IGA implementation experience.
