About the role:
The Manager, Aboriginal Priority Projects & Reform leads initiatives aimed at improving health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal people across Victoria. This role heads a dedicated team, driving the design, coordination and delivery of priority projects that advance self determination, cultural safety and system responsiveness. Through strong partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), community leaders, government agencies and internal stakeholders, the Manager ensures all projects are culturally informed, evidence based and aligned with strategic priorities. Central to the role is the development and implementation of high impact projects that address needs identified by Aboriginal communities and support system wide reform. The Manager and their team provide project oversight and implementation support, ensuring programs are sustainable, responsive and contribute to the long term goals of the Aboriginal Health & Wellbeing Division. By collaborating with ACCOs, peak bodies and policy areas, the Manager helps embed self determination and enhance outcomes.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience working with both Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and community.
- Sound knowledge of the Victorian health system, departmental operating processes and government decision making frameworks.
- Experience in preparing high quality briefings, report and advice to stakeholders, executive and ministers when required.
