Production Manager - Die Casting

Automotive parts maker needs a Production Manager to run its Die Casting manufacturing department. This position requires a very strong background in die casting processes. Your primary goals will be to improve safety, delivery, cost, and quality.

• With safety first in mind, you will lead continuous improvement, following the principles of the Toyota Production System.
• Work with Quality to set goals including scrap reduction, reduction in customer complaints, and reporting of non-conformances.
• Evaluate and improve manpower layout, 5-S standardization, and organization layout.
• Work with maintenance to improve machine uptime.
• Provide data driven analyses of manufacturing problems.
• This position will require travel by plane and car 10-20%.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Business, or related major
• Must have deep experience of the die casting process, especially of automotive parts
• Must have at least three years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated experience in driving quality, cost, delivery times, and safety improvements.
• Must be committed to the use of metrics to understand production trends and weak points.
