Job Description

We are looking for Packaging Technician for our client in Athens, GA

Job Title: Packaging Technician

Job Location: Athens, GA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $15.00hr - $20.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Detail-oriented with quality-conscious mindset.
  • Equipment and process troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties associated with labeling, inspecting, and packaging of vaccines.
  • Operate packaging equipment including labelers, pick and place, heat tunnels, vision systems, and forklifts.
  • Ensure target line rates are met and production goals are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Inspect product accurately and efficiently to meet quality guidelines.
  • Perform equipment change-over and set-up.
  • Conduct initial troubleshooting for packaging equipment issues.
  • Ensure proper cGMP documentation is followed for completeness and adherence to procedures.
  • Read, understand, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare QA Line clearances for small volume lines.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Maintain facilities and equipment as required by Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Cross-train in other areas within the department as required to meet business needs.
  • Communicate processing needs, progress, and process occurrences to leadership.
  • Monitor processes against manufacturing records, data capture forms, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Participate in Daily Performance Reviews.
  • Complete batch tickets with materials consumed during execution.
  • Identify and report unsafe work habits, conditions, or practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Due to nature of job The candidate must have Ability to lift 35 lbs.

Nice to Have:

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
