Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider | Commercial Building | Croydon | £45,000 + Package CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based at a prestigious commercial building in Croydon, Surrey.
Working as part of a close-knit on-site team of three engineers, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks across the building.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Facilities Management and a proven track record in mechanical building maintenance. Monday to Friday | 08:00 – 17:00 Key Duties & Responsibilities Monitor and maintain mechanical plant equipment<br />Carry out work on pumps, motors, seals, and bearings<br />Service and maintain air conditioning systems, including Air Handling Units (AHUs) and Fan Coil Units (FCUs) — filter changes, cleaning, and general upkeep<br />Conduct water treatment checks, including temperature monitoring (non-dosing)<br />Undertake plumbing tasks such as unblocking drains and toilets, replacing taps, washers, and general pipework repairs<br />Monitor and respond to BMS (Building Management System) alarms and readings<br />Carry out basic electrical duties, including lamp replacements<br />Maintain general building fabric and carry out minor repairs<br />Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors on siteRequirements Mechanical qualification — City & Guilds Level 2 or equivalent (Essential)<br />Ability to provide copies of relevant trade certificates<br />Proven track record in commercial building maintenance<br />Multi-skilled with a flexible, can-do approach<br />Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues<br />Confident working in a client-facing environmentTo be considered for this exciting opportunity, please send your CV to Charlie Long at CBW Staffing Solutions.
