Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer / Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, Spring Framework, RESTful services, and distributed systems and a proven ability to lead design and delivery of scalable enterprise applications aligned to business objectives.

Position Summary:

This Sr Java Developer role provides technical leadership, direction, and oversight to development teams for the delivery of scalable, high-quality technology solutions. The role leads design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex enterprise applications while ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategy. The position establishes technical architecture and design standards, guides teams through the software development lifecycle, reviews code quality, and enforces engineering best practices, security standards, and development policies. The developer collaborates with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions and demonstrates expertise across architecture, application development, integration, performance optimization, cloud technologies, and software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of high-volume, enterprise-scale Java applications.


• Define and uphold technical architecture, design patterns, and coding standards.


• Guide teams through the SDLC with code reviews and secure engineering practices.


• Design and integrate RESTful and SOAP-based services with robust contracts.


• Implement Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Integration, and Spring Data JPA solutions.


• Optimize performance and reliability for distributed systems and APIs.


• Establish monitoring and observability practices using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.


• Leverage GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, refactoring, and unit testing while validating AI-generated code for quality and security.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Core Java and Java/J2EE with enterprise and distributed systems experience.


• Strong OOP fundamentals and application of Java design patterns.


• Spring ecosystem: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Spring Data JPA.


• API development: RESTful services, REST/JSON standards, and working knowledge of SOAP.


• Strong coding standards, code reviews, and secure coding practices.


• Monitoring and production support using Splunk and Dynatrace.


• Proficiency with Git, Maven, JUnit, and performance tuning for high-volume applications.


• Experience using GitHub Copilot for Java and Spring Boot code generation, REST API development, JUnit test creation, refactoring, and secure coding recommendations, with validation of AI-generated code for correctness, performance, security, and standards adherence.


• Demonstrated ability to improve developer productivity through prompt engineering and AI-assisted workflows.

Preferred Skills:

• Full-stack development experience.


• Experience with cloud-native or containerized applications.


• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.


• Familiarity with modern observability and site reliability engineering practices.
