Mid-Level DevOps Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in Cleveland, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO or Birmingham, AL.
This role is part of a modern data center hosting strategy that introduces and enables new technology capabilities across applications and programs. This DevOps Engineer will join a team focused on driving developer enablement, developing automation, and migrating the entire developer community to Helm.
Responsibilities:

• Develop automation and help migrate the developer community to Helm
• Support a non-production testing environment that allows for more robust and "predictive" performance testing
• Improve all elements of testing and validation, including tools, standards, processes, governance, and metrics
• Be a part of a team helping to drive the Developer Enablement work forward

Requirements:

• Experience with deploying applications to Kubernetes / OpenShift using Helm
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with languages like Golang, Python, Java or Javascript
• Experience in CI/CD Pipelines with and understanding of integrating tools like Jenkins, Github, and Jfrog Artifactory
• Experience developing Jenkins Shared Libraries in Groovy
• Experience with GitHub Actions
• Experience developing and integrating with APIs
• Expertise with Git and tools such as BitBucket, GitHub, or Azure DevOps Server
• Experience with Container Technologies - Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
• Experience writing Docker files and building images for containerized services

Desired skills:

• Good communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, willing to take initiative and able to apply new technologies when appropriate

Pay range: $52.93 - $60.93 per hour
