Job description

We're looking for a Working Electrical Supervisor to join our Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme team based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a Working Electrical Supervisor, you'll play a key role in our Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme, carrying out hands-on electrical installation works on Thames Water sites for both permanent and temporary installs. You'll supervise and support other electricians, ensuring all works meet the highest standards, and conduct electrical inspection and testing. This is an excellent opportunity to join a developing self-delivery team working alongside our established MEICA delivery team.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Working Electrical Supervisor, you'll be working within the Wastewater Asset Assurance Programme team, supporting them in delivering high-quality electrical installations and supervision. Your day to day will include:

  • Installing low-voltage electrical systems, including containment systems, power and control cables, and testing installations
  • Supervising electricians and providing mentorship to apprentices to help develop their skills
  • Producing and reviewing electrical RAMS and managing project ITPs through our common data environment
  • Providing safe isolations of LV electrical systems and issuing electrical safety documents to nominated competent persons
  • Conducting electrical audits and ensuring installation works align with Thames Water asset standards

What are we looking for?

This role of Working Electrical Supervisor is great for you if:

  • You hold a Full driving licence and relevant JIB Gold Card / ECS card
  • You have proven experience in the Water Industry with strong problem-solving skills
  • You hold C&G 2330 or 2360 in electrical installations, NVQ Level 3 in electrical installations, and IEE 18th edition wiring regs
  • You have SMSTS, Confined Spaces, and C&G 2391 Inspect and Test qualifications
  • You have a good working knowledge of sewage and water treatment processes, systems, and typical M&E plant and equipment
